Christmas Card Exchange

Our Christmas Card Exchange is one of our favourite traditions at PONFEL - a simple, heartfelt way to spread a little extra Christmas cheer through handwritten cards and thoughtful connection.

The best place to stay up to date with the Exchange is through our Facebook page:
www.facebook.com/ponfel.com.au or you can always reach us at sales@ponfel.com.au if you have any questions.

Each year, we open sign-ups in early October and welcome anyone who would like to take part.

How it works

Joining is simple and all about sharing the joy of Christmas.

You can take part if you would like to send and receive Christmas cards.

Once you sign up, you’ll choose how many cards you would like to send - and you will receive the same number of addresses in return.

You then:

  • Buy or make your Christmas cards
  • Write your personal messages inside
  • Add a stamp
  • Send your cards off
  • And wait for your own festive mail to arrive in return 🎄

It’s a beautiful way to connect with others and receive a little surprise in your letterbox.

Important Information

There is no cost to join other than your own cards and postage.

Australia Post typically offers a reduced Christmas stamp rate during November and December (when cards are marked “Card Only” and weigh under 20g).

You are welcome to include small, thoughtful extras if you wish, however this is primarily a card exchange. If you choose to send gifts, there is no expectation to receive gifts in return.

While we do our very best to ensure everyone receives cards, we cannot guarantee the number of cards you will receive, as this depends on participant involvement.

If you are unable to continue after signing up, we kindly ask that you let us know as soon as possible so we can adjust the mailing list.

What we need from you

When signing up, please send the following details via private message or email (please do not post publicly for privacy reasons):

  • First name(s)
  • Last name
  • Email address
  • Postal address
  • Suburb
  • State
  • Postcode
  • Number of cards you would like to send (and receive)

We treat all personal information with care and respect. Your details are used only for the purpose of the Christmas Card Exchange and are never shared or sold. All information is securely removed after the season ends.

What happens next

Around mid-November, participants will receive their list of addresses to send cards to. We ask that all cards are posted by the end of November so they arrive in time for Christmas.

If you think you may have difficulty meeting this timeframe, please contact us so we can assist.
